PostSubject: Grimm, the Reaper   Sun Dec 26, 2010 4:14 am

Name: Grimm, the Reaper

Age: Unknown (claims to be older than Time)

Type: Unknown (has both the qualities of Angels and Demons, but is not either)

Alignment: Neutral

True Form: 8 foot black-skinned with two horns, black Angel wings, Demon's talons, and sapphire-blue eyes. His teeth are red and constantly drip blood. Not many view this form, mostly because he doesn't quite like it. Demons and Angels can see through his guise at all times. In this form, he has access to his full power.

Disguise Form: Many, but the main form is pictured here:

Personality: Cold, cynical, and often cruel, Grimm doesn't care in the least about who wins the war, who loses, who suffers, who prospers, who lives, or who dies. He cares only about keeping "the balance," making sure that Mortals die when their time is up. If he does care for one thing, it's drugs. He has an addiction to the rush he gets when he pulls a soul from it's body, but in these times, this happens rarely. As such, he attempts to substitute this rush by taking many insane cocktails of drugs and alchohol. He also has an innate hatred for anything that cannot properly die, as they are out of his jurisdiction.

Fighting Style: Varies on his opponent, but generally he uses grace and speed over power. The style he uses is always chosen for the express purpose of annoying his opponent, since Grimm is never in any danger.

Weapons: He CAN use any weapon he touches, but he is more fond of using either his fists or the most unorthodox weapon he can find. He once fought off ten foes with nothing but a No. 2 pencil.

Personal History: Grimm claims to predate existence. In his story of origin, the universe was created by his twin brother, Spark, even if indirectly. He claims that Spark was a being of only creation, while Grimm was a being of destruction. In the blank canvas of nothingness, they combined their powers to create the being Humans came to know as "God," who would not have the powers of creation or death, but could see the proper use of both. They toiled under the thumb of God for many millenia, until the revolt led by Lucifer. Spark and Grimm did not assist either side, but since Grimm had to be present to claim the essence of the fallen, he was branded a traitor and sent with Lucifer to Hell.

Grimm ignored this sentence, instead residing on Earth. As the numbers of Humans grew, he found that he needed to copy his own essence to keep up with the amount of death. He did so, creating a single copy to reside and work in each individual country. Eventually, he himself "retired," claiming only a single city as his domain. This city was close to the site of the D-Day invasion. This is where he became addicted to reaping souls. He removed all his clones and went back to work, claiming all the souls for himself. He sent them all to be recycled, but he still got his rush.

When the Great War began, and humanity was nearly extinct, Grimm began to lose it. He desperately seeks to replace the thrill, but so far has had no luck. He is growing to be so desparate that he has even asked for help from the being he hates most in all of existence; Balthasar the Sorcerer. Vampires are also of great annoyance to him, since they are dead, and yet not, and any being they kill is most likely added to the numbers of souls he cannot reap. He adamantly remains neutral, although slightly biased agains the likes of Vampires or Sorcerers. One thing is agreed: regardless of how old he is, or how powerful he is, he cannot be destroyed or killed in any way. After all, how do you kill Death?

Roleplay Sample: Grimm sat in the broken-down sallon, a bottle of strong rum in one hand, and a needle full of heroine in the other. As he drank from the bottle, he injected himself with the needle. He set the bottle down, taking deep breaths. Minutes passed. His face grew irritated. "DAMMIT! This is the most powerful combo these Mortals could conjure, and I don't feel a thing! RRAAARGH!" He flipped his table sending it flying through the air and smashing through a wall. He sat back down, glaring without seeing at the desolate wasteland outside. "I need that rush... I need a soul to claim... I need someone to die..."

I am going to approve this because I like the idea of having someone play death but with one condition. You can never kill any members character unless they allow you to or that particular member is banned for breaking rules. That way we can keep the site clean of characters that are alive with nobody playing them.

Absolutely. I didn't intend for him to be the end-all-beat-all, but he is a powerhouse. He's basically the ref for the world. If anyone is G-Modding, for instance, Grimm will G-Mod him back, and his character bio not only allows it, but makes it trump others.
